Central Idea: Government support affects the prevalence of homelessness.
Lines of Inquiry:
- How people become homeless
- Issues with homeless shelters
- Supports for homeless people
We chose the ad/flier as one of our artistic expressions because most people don’t choose to be homeless. If people want want to help even just for a bit, they can donate money to a homeless shelter. We made this ad/flier to spread more awareness about it and to persuade other people about it as well. It shows our learning on our perspective on how we can help this issue. It also shows our learning about how they all have stories on how they became homeless.

We chose the infographic because we can show some facts in what we learned in our research. And it also shows how many people go homeless every year or how many people are homeless. To add to one of the reasons why we choose the infographic , it’s the easiest way to show our learning since an infographic is basically us showing facts. It shows our learning because on one of the facts that we wrote down, there were celebrities that used to be homeless and it shows how they can be a better version of themselves when they can stand in their feet but once they gain confidence, the might get a job that has a good salary for them to buy things that they need for themselves.

We chose the sign/poster because it can be used for protesting for the issue, “homelessness”, if there was no quarantine. The sign/poster is combining everyone’s thoughts and opinions about how they feel in homelessness. To be honest, we didn’t plan on doing the sign/poster since it was more like a recommendation. It shows our learning because on some of the quotes that are in the sign/poster it made us realize more about what ur topic that we’re searching about. Also, how it can impact the community, if the homeless population grows more in the future, homeless shelters will be more full than the “usual” and there would be more homeless people on the streets.

We Chose the poem for one of our artistic expressions because poems can hold deep emotions or have deep meaning in it. Since we’re doing an acrostic poem, we decided to use the word “Homeless”. Some people get judged just because they’re homeless but they shouldn’t because they don’t know what they’re going through. The acrostic poem shows our learning because in some articles that some of our group members read, they talked about how homeless people get judged.
