I created this artistic artifact so that I could help calm people who have anxiety. I can help them see things from a different perspective. This can help so that they don't get so worked up about things that bother them. People could have something to look at, that would inspire them to feel happier and brighten their day. I want people to be able to see through all the bad and still be able to smile. |
My form of expression is a collage. I think that collages fit in very well with anxiety because collages can be very overwhelming and anxiety can be too. In my collage I put many pictures of things that show what anxiety feels like, I did this because I want people to understand what anxiety can feel like to some people and this could impact them to take care of themselves and try to be there for others. Before I started this project I didn’t know anxiety was such a big problem in the world but as I researched and learned more about it I found that anxiety cannot just affect the ones who have it but can affect other people to and there relationships to, it's like what we talk about in school sometimes during assembly's, kindness can cause a chain reaction, and happiness can be one too. I know that when I see someone else happy I feel happy to, and when I see someone sad I also feel sad. This is why it is important that we understand what anxiety is and that we need to take care of ourselves and others, because if we do then it can change a lot of people lives which could even change our world a little bit.

I chose to make a sculpture of the coronavirus to show my work because I thought it would be the coolest one to do out of all the other options. I think you would know what my topic is just by looking at my sculpture. I think my sculpture shows my work because the virus is the main idea. The way I made my sculpture is by getting a foam ball and covering it with clay. Then I took small wooden sticks and stuck them around the ball. I covered the sticks with clay too. Next, I glued pom-pom balls on the end of all the sticks. After that I painted the main ball grey and the sticks red. Then I glued little yellow and purple pom-pom balls on the ball and took my facts that I photocopied and I taped them to on a platform right below my sculpture and that’s how I made my sculpture
I prefer using clay as a medium for my project because I find it easier than drawing and I feel more creative using my hands on a physical model. My clay model shows how COVID-19 consumes the world and how it affects the population. The red represents COVID-10 and the blue and green represents Earth's vitality. Through this model you will learn two important things about COVID-19:

For our form of expression, we decided to do an interactive one because over the past few years of exhibition, our group particularly liked the interactive activities, so we decided to do ours like that. Our artistic artifact is in the shape of a virus and has a question beside it that says, "How has the coronavirus affected you and your family?" We were going to ask people to answer that question, write it down on a sticky note and stick it onto our virus poster. Unfortunately, we cannot make that happen because of the Coronavirus outbreak; instead we asked people online. This artistic artifact shows what other people have gone through because of COVID-19. As the poster gets filled more and more, other people and also us, will start to learn more about how COVID-19 has affected many people in many different ways. Either a good impact or a bad one.

My first choice for my form of expression was to create a poem and to also do a drawing to go with my poem. I chose to do these two things because I love how a lot of people connect to some poems if they relate to them. I thought it was the perfect thing to do because millions of people are fighting coronavirus daily. I also like the idea of having a drawing because I was thinking about if we actually were presenting to younger students, it would make more sense if there was a drawing.

My form of expression is a 2d digital art that shows children laying on their death beds and some looking at the sunset. If you zoom in far enough you can see a door right at the middle of the sunset (it was very hard to draw because it's so small). The door is meant to symbolize a whole other world that the patients can access after they have died from Tuberculosis (seems harsh but that's what I'm going with. Also if you don't understand it's basically the after life)
- First, the sketch is meant to show that a lot of people were infected by TB
- The entire room also contains children meaning that Tuberculosis mostly affected and killed children.
- The entire room also shows people sleeping on their death beds which is meant to represent the highest fatality of TB.
- I also did try to draw the children as if they are in pain which is obviously meant to represent the painfulness of TB.

I have created is a picture book I illustrated and wrote. I chose to make a picture book because I really do enjoy drawing. I had a lot of fun trying to recreate a virus shape and copy the information that I have been gathering throughout those 3 weeks of research. In the pictures, I have shown when viruses were discovered, what they are and how they have changed over time. I've created a play-doh model of a virus. I chose it because It seemed like the most unique way of expressing how a virus looks like. I made this to show that I know the different shapes and forms of viruses, and how they affect our bodies in the way they do.

Our Artifact is a video explaining all that we learned about drug addiction and substance abuse. We thought that since we couldn’t create and artifact together we would record ourselves talking about what we learned. Then we can put it all together. It demonstrates our learning because we are telling the listener everything we learned.
