Lines of Inquiry:
- how plastic waste affects marine ecosystems
- solutions to minimize plastic waste in oceans
I chose this topic because firstly, I like fish and they’re interesting and beautiful (some of them), secondly, I have fish and I like them, thirdly, if fish go extinct then the ocean will not be that exciting. I chose to do a website because it was easy (wix), and I had the things I needed to work with (also my mom helped me too), And websites can also have everything inside of them. Also I didn’t really have interest in the other subjects so I just chose this one.

For this issue I chose to do an art project of the world with the garbage patches as little bits of plastic in a pattern. I think this would have explained the garbage patches to people in exhibition. This shows viewers how big the garbage patches are and might raise awareness about the garbage patch because it demonstrates how our garbage affects the ocean. This will also give the message to people how bad it is to litter because eventually all of the garbage littered will eventually find the way to the ocean. This shows my learning because it shows how much I care about this issue and the effort I put in to the art. I used a blank sheet of blue construction paper and looked at an atlas to draw the world. I think this technique turned out well as it closely resembles the outline of the world. I used acrylic paint to colour in the continents a bright green color.
